The Killdeer Police Department wants to give a big thank you. The Ezra Barrows Post 46 American Legion, graciously donated $10,000 to support the School Resource Officer Program’s D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program.

This generous contribution helps continue the mission of building strong relationships between law enforcement and students while educating youth on making safe and responsible choices. The support from the American Legion reflects a deep commitment to the well-being, safety, and future of our community’s children.

SRO Swigart was also honored as the 2024 American Legion Officer of the Year for the State of North Dakota. Her love and respect for the American Legion runs deep, along with her dedication and passion for her role as Killdeer, North Dakota School Resource Officer.
