First Flight Track Club Started in Spring of 2024 Its main purpose is to help Outer Banks
youth excel at track and field events.

Last week, Hannah Rideout, member of the Currituck County High School track team, was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while running during track practice. She was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she is currently receiving ongoing treatment for a traumatic brain injury.

We are deeply saddened that Hannah was injured while doing something she loves. We invite our running community and neighbors to come together, show their support, and help lift up Hannah and her family during the road ahead.

Whether you are a runner or walker, join us on Sunday, March 22 at 1 p.m. for the Hustle for Hannah 5K Bubble Run, a fun community event to help support Hannah’s recovery. The run will also feature music from the Mustang Outreach Program.

Suggested Donation: $25

• Entry to the run
• Event T-shirt
• Beverage (glass of wine for participants 21+)

Huge shout out to for extending the invitation to us runners on the Northern Beaches to participate in the first and I am assuming now annual Buxton Backyard Ultra. We were stoked and rolled up with 3 board members running and 10 student athletes. We joined 20-25 HI incredible distance runners including some youth athletes putting down 4-5 laps. This course was challenging to say the least! We loved every minute of it. Congratulations to our youth team that competed over 100 miles and Coach Gray completed 12 laps and over 50 miles.
Fletcher Forrest was the leading student athlete and also the youngest (middle school y’all) and logged almost 22 miles.
We had a blast.
Thanks for the hospitality! We love this growing running community 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃🏼
