We are so excited to share that KLF teamed up with Notre Dame defensive back (and Kilgore’s very own!) Jayden Sanders to donate school supplies and brand new backpacks to students and staff at Kilgore Intermediate School and Chandler Elementary School!

Equipping our kids with the tools they need to succeed makes all the difference as a new school year kicks off. A huge thank you to Jayden for giving back to his hometown community and leading by example both on and off the field!

Wishing all of the students, teachers, and staff at Kilgore Independent School District a safe, inspiring, and successful school year! 🎒📚 📓🐾

Today, the Kilgore Legacy Foundation joins our community and the nation in celebrating Juneteenth, a profound day of reflection, liberation, and resilience.

While the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863, it wasn’t until June 19, 1865, that freedom finally reached enslaved Black Americans right here in Texas. Juneteenth reminds us of the strength of those who came before us and the enduring power of community, faith, and perseverance.

As we celebrate today, we honor the deep roots, rich history, and incredible contributions of Black families and leaders who have shaped the spirit of East Texas. Freedom is a continuous journey, and we remain dedicated to building a legacy of opportunity, unity, and excellence for the generations to come.

Take time today to connect with family and celebrate the culture that moves us forward.

Happy Juneteenth, Kilgore!

It is our pleasure to announce our 2026 Juneteenth Grand Marshal.

Gregg County Constable Judy Morgan!

Constable Morgan has served in the sheriff’s department for 18 years. She is the first woman in over 50 years to serve in the role as constable.

She is well known throughout the city of Kilgore and Gregg County, and we are thrilled and happy to honor her this weekend!

Congratulations! 👏🏾
