Aloha –

If you wish to help turtles (or if you know someone who wishes to), we have a Marine Turtle Response volunteer training class coming up this Tuesday, May 31 from 10 to 11 am at the Kihei marine sanctuary.

Volunteers get calls from South Maui citizens that see a turtle they believe is stranded. Our volunteers work with others to determine if help is required. The class teaches you the protocols to do that.

There is a Marine Turtle Stranding Volunteer position description attached with more information. If you are a new sanctuary volunteer interested in helping sea turtles in distress, or if you or someone you know may be interested in becoming one, please plan to attend this class.

Please give me a call (or email me) to confirm your spot. If you wish to attend a future date instead, please let me know that, too.

We hope to welcome you to the training. Please forward this to a friend and help spread the word!

Mahalo.
