Making a Difference, One Tab at a Time It all started around a campfire back in 2000 as a friendly competition to see who could collect the most can tabs.

A group of friends agreed to cash in whatever tabs they collected and donate the money to a worthy cause. Word spread, the collection grew, more people joined in, and now the group spans many miles, generations, and teams. In 20 years, the Happy Campers have collected almost 14,000 gallons of tabs and donated over $23K to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin (Milwaukee branch).

Our goal remains simple - to raise money for a worthy cause. We'd love for you to join us in our mission to make a difference, one tab at a time.

A reminder that this is SO MUCH BIGGER than tabs ❤️

We had the honor of hearing from Angela and Megan from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin last year, sharing the real impact your generosity has made over the past 25 years.

Their stories are a powerful reflection of what these donations truly do. Providing comfort, support, and a sense of home for families during some of the most difficult moments in their lives.

To everyone who has contributed… this is why we do what we do. 🫶

We’re beyond grateful for the recognition and for everyone who’s been part of 25 years of collecting, giving, and honoring the heart behind it all.

We’re so proud to stand beside such an amazing organization and continue helping families, one tiny tab at a time. ❤️

🎉 What a Turnout! Fall Tab Weekend 2025 was one to remember! 🎉
Our 25-year celebration brought together an incredible crowd to honor Phil Huff and continue the mission that’s been making a difference for families for decades. 💛
This year we collected 8️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ gallons of tabs, bringing our grand total to 1️⃣9️⃣,2️⃣4️⃣8️⃣ gallons over 25 amazing years! 🙌
The day was filled with meaningful moments — from the dedication of a memorial bench for Phil Huff to welcoming the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin team, who shared how our donations continue to support families during their hardest times. Hearing their stories reminded us how something so small can have such a powerful impact. (🎥 Video coming soon!)
Thank you to everyone who came out, gave back, and helped make this milestone weekend so special. Your generosity and heart keep this mission alive — one tab at a time. ❤️

🎉 Tab Weekend Celebration – Saturday, October 11th!

Join us for a very special Tab Weekend on Saturday, October 11th from 2–5 PM at the Sheboygan Marsh Campground — a day full of meaning, memories, and milestones.

This fall marks ✨ 25 years ✨ of the Happy Campers collecting aluminum tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities, and we’re celebrating in a big way! We’re excited to welcome a special guest speaker to this year’s event. And as always, we’ll have plenty of tab-sorting fun for all ages!

At 2 PM, we’ll unveil a memorial bench honoring Phil Huff — a beloved friend, founder of Happy Campers, and devoted supporter whose spirit continues to inspire our mission. A heartfelt thank-you to all the donors who helped make this lasting tribute possible.

📦 Whether you’ve been collecting tabs or are just curious to see what it’s all about, you’re welcome to stop by. You can drop off your tabs anytime between 2 and 5 PM — and at 5 PM, we’ll announce the winning team from this season’s friendly competition!

✨A lasting tribute for someone who gave so much.✨
In honor of Phil’s years of hard work and the remarkable 34.9 million tabs that passed through his hands, our team wanted to create something lasting to show our gratitude and celebrate this incredible man.
We’ll be placing a bench in his name, a small but meaningful way to recognize everything he gave to our team and community. Mouse will be choosing the perfect spot, one that feels just right.
If you’d like to contribute, a donation bucket will be available this fall, or you can email [email protected] to arrange a donation. Any additional funds above and beyond the cost of the bench will go towards a concrete slab under the bench and/or to the RMHC.
Thank you, Phil, for everything. Your legacy lives on. ❤️
