We're overwhelmed and excited by the community's interest in the Trident Inn Galley program! Please note that as a Federal Government program, we cannot accept donations and qualified individuals must present a Dependent ID or Federal Employee Identification Card to purchase a meal. We will continue to provide general updates on this social media page, for specific program details, please call 360-396-6058.

In an effort to support our community, the Trident Inn Galley will be temporarily open for all military dependents and unpaid federal workers for up to three meals per day. Sponsors are not required to be present for dining privileges; however, dependent identification or federal employee identification will be required for entrance.

Meals are offered at approximately $7 per person, per meal, and services are provided three times daily.

Trident Inn Galley hours are:

- Breakfast: 0600 – 0800
- Lunch: 1100 – 1300
- Dinner: 1630 – 1800

Here is the meal rate pricing:

- Breakfast: 4.40
- Lunch: 7.10
- Dinner: 6.10

Today we remember 9/11. Locally we had the opportunity to invite former Fire Chief Jack Woodard’s family to the dedication of L-28.

If you weren’t able to attend there were short speeches by our fire chief, deputy, and B/C of Training for Battalion I Chris Doughty regarding Chief Woodard’s steadfast commitment to our department and his passion for its programs. More specifically, the apparatus program of which he prided himself on.

Special thanks as always to Jen Fraga for cooking his staple meal and specialty of deboned chicken and fried rice. She always comes through for every special event with food and she’s never recognized nearly enough for the time and effort she puts into that so if you attended today please send her a thank you message.

Congratulations to Jim Johnson on his re-election as the 16th District Vice-President!

This was a contested election but the member locals that voted at convention elected to stay with the knowledge and experience needed to win the battles in the trenches with Jim and his team. Congrats again Jimmy!

I had an opportunity yesterday to speak on the convention floor at the IAFF’s 57th biennial convention in Boston about the dangers to workers and members of the 16th District when we don’t support pro-labor candidates.
