What if "The 10 Commandments" were imaginatively reinterpreted -- not as a harsh-sounding list of "you better nots" but as a grace-filled collection of "here's a better way" to becoming the Beloved Community? What if we thought of them as 10 Love Letters meant to lead us out from all that binds our spirits and into the peace of what truly sets us free?

"While our fractured world builds walls, detention centers, and underground bunkers, Jesus sets a longer, wider Table of Welcome.

Our call to work for justice with love and compassion connects us to a God who is still speaking -- active and present -- and reminds us that each of us is still unfolding in this ever-unfolding Universe.

Don't lose hope. Pull up a chair to a bigger kind of community.
