The Opal Fund

The Opal Fund 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization providing Grants for MRIs to help diagnose Neurological Disorders in pets.

Can You Help?
In the last year, The Opal Fund has helped pay for 4 life saving MRIs! MRI scans are an incredible tool in a Veterinarian's arsenal. Unfortunately, the cost of an MRI scan often far exceeds the cost of treatment, and many families and rescues simply can not afford this life saving scan without putting themselves deep into debt. The Opal Fund is committed to making MRIs more accessible to the families of pets suffering from Neurological Disorders, by providing grants to cover the cost of these scans, leading to an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
These scans can cost as much as $5,000 a piece and our funds are currently drained. Please consider making a donation so we can continue to save Pets suffering from Neurological Disorders. Thank you so much for your support. If you wish to donate or learn more, the link is below!
The Opal Fund is a 501(C)(3) Charitable Organization and all donations are tax deductible.

💜URGENT REQUEST FOR DONATIONS!💜
Meet Monkey 👋🏻 Monkey’s parents and Veterinary team contacted the Opal Fund when Monkey suddenly began to suffer from 3-5 focal seizures a day. Thanks to our generous donors, we just processed Monkey’s MRI grant and she’s on the road to recovery!

It’s been a rough year and our fund is getting low. Please consider making a donation to the Opal Fund so we can continue to help amazing dogs like Monkey!💜

🟣Meet Dozer!🟣 Dozer has been suffering frequent partial seizures and his mom reached out to The Opal Fund when she ran out of funds necessary to help him. The Opal Fund provided two grants to Dozer and his family to help him continue his happy healthy life.

Thanks to our generous Donors, Dozer was able to receive a comprehensive work up from a facility that specializes in Neurological Disorders and now has a treatment plan in place to help keep his seizures controlled. His prognosis is good and it’s all thanks to our generous supporters. Since starting his treatment, Dozer has not suffered ANY seizures. Paws crossed for his continued success!

ICYMI - Harper was the first ever recipient of an Opal Fund grant. Harper underwent a successful surgery to repair a significant injury in her neck. She has since made a full recovery - this video was from early October! We love you Harper! Many more happy days and peanut butter filled kongs await you. 💜💜💜

Repost from

Harper update! our girl is up and acting like herself again! On Friday she got all 28 staples removed and is showing zero signs of infection or deficits!

She’s still on “bed rest” as much as we can try to give her for the next 3-4 weeks, but she’s clearly feeling WORLDS better.

She is, however, itchy as hell. So mom’s pop culture knowledge and dad’s engineering skills have led to an effective and hilarious solution: fuzzy socks taped on (obviously not on her fur directly) . It lets her itch, but her nails can’t tear her back up - here’s a video from last week right after we tried on her “special socks” for the first time 😉 swipe to see our inspiration. We have since moved onto Velcro tabs for easy removal before walks.

Thank you all so much for your support and generosity. We are Eternally and wholly grateful to all of you for helping us give her the care she needs❤️
