This Week at Rotary

This Thursday, we welcome Chad Newman, Florida Keys Film Commissioner and News Director of the Florida Keys News Bureau, and Danny Cuellar, Chief Marketing Officer for The Florida Keys & Key West.

Chad works with film and television productions coming to the Keys and leads news and video coverage of the destination.

Danny brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, partnerships, and brand development, having worked with United Airlines, the NFL, and Qantas Airways. His work with the NFL earned him a Sports Emmy.

They’ll share updates on upcoming events across the Florida Keys and other topics related to the Tourist Development Council.

Feed the Keys 2026 💙

Rotary Club of Key West was pleased to take part in this year’s Feed the Keys food drive, organized by United Way of Collier and the Keys - Monroe to support local families in need.

Thank you to our fellow Rotarians who donated food and contributed to this community-wide effort.

It was also a pleasure to welcome Tiffany Pellicier to our Rotary meeting last week.

This Thursday, we welcome Tiffany Pellicier, Vice President of Strategy and Impact at United Way of Collier and the Keys .
Tiffany leads strategic initiatives, community investments, and partnerships, with a focus on supporting ALICE households across Collier and Monroe Counties. Following Hurricane lan, she helped lead recovery efforts across the Florida Keys. Prior to joining United Way, Tiffany Pellicier spent 25 years as a Clinical Registered Nurse.

Our Rotarians spent time with students at HOB, Poinciana Elementary, and Gerald Adams Elementary.

We are so proud to recognize Sandra Higgs as our Rotarian of the Month 💙💛

Sandra has been a Rotarian for 21 years, since July 2005 — more than two decades of service, friendship, and dedication.

Sandra has an incredible heart for this community. She is always there — volunteering, showing up, helping wherever she is needed, and supporting the people around her.

She is someone you can truly count on. When Sandra says she will do something, she does it. She gives her time, her energy, and her heart so generously, and that care is reflected in everything she does.

Sandra is a wonderful Rotarian, a wonderful friend, and simply someone we are very lucky to have among us.

We are incredibly proud to have her as part of The Rotary Club of Key West

Today at The Rotary Club of Key West with the Conch Republic Marine Army

What began in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma continues today — removing debris trapped deep within the mangroves and helping keep the waters of the Florida Keys clean.

And one of today’s reminders: volunteering can be meaningful and fun — a day on the water, good people, important work, and sometimes a sandbar at the end of it.

Caring for our ocean starts close to home, and together, we can make a difference.

Thank you to our guests for sharing their work with us today.
