We’re in the news!

Thank you to the Keys Citizen for highlighting the 2026 Florida Keys Nonprofit Day, which brought together more than 135 nonprofit leaders representing nearly 60 organizations from throughout the Keys for a day of learning, connection and collaboration.

Presented by the Florida Keys Funders Alliance - Community Foundation of the Florida Keys, Ocean Reef Community Foundation and United Way of Collier and the Keys - Monroe - and sponsored by First State Bank, Nonprofit Day is all about strengthening the organizations that work every day to strengthen our Keys communities.

Today, on Hunger Action Day, we recognize the local nonprofits working every day to help keep our neighbors fed and the Ocean Reef Club Members whose generosity helps make that work possible.

This week over 130 nonprofit leaders representing nearly 60 organizations from throughout the Keys gathered at Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon for 2026 Florida Keys Nonprofit Day — a day to learn, exchange ideas, build connections and strengthen the important work happening throughout our communities. A special thank you to our speakers, Robyn Faucy of Results 1st and Leah McDermott of Florida Nonprofit Alliance, for sharing their expertise, insights and practical takeaways with our nonprofit community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success!

This event was presented by the Florida Keys Funders Alliance — Ocean Reef Community Foundation, Community Foundation of the Florida Keys and United Way of Collier and the Keys — with generous support from event sponsor First State Bank.

More than 130 nonprofit professionals representing 59 organizations joined us yesterday for a sold-out .

Generously sponsored by First State Bank, this annual event is presented by the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys, United Way of Collier and the Keys - Monroe, and Ocean Reef Community Foundation -- known collectively as the Florida Keys Funders Alliance.

In her dynamic keynote, Robyn Faucy, CEO of Results 1st, challenged us all to think beyond activities and participation numbers and focus on the question that matters most: What difference did the work actually make❓ She gave nonprofits a practical way to define the results they want for the people they serve and measure whether they are getting there.

Leah McDermott, VP of Policy & Programs at the Florida Nonprofit Alliance gave us a broader look at the strengths and challenges facing Florida nonprofits and the significant role the sector plays in our state, regional, and local economies.

Between sessions and during lunch people compared experiences, met others working on similar issues, and made connections across organizations and communities throughout the Keys.

Thank you to Robyn and Leah for making the trip and giving our nonprofit community so much useful information to take back to work, to First State Bank for sponsoring the event, and to all 59 nonprofits that participated.

We appreciate everyone who spent the day with us.
