In recognition of National Invasive Species Action Week (Feb. 23–27), NFMBA will be hosting a work day at New Fane Trail to remove invasive plant species.

All experience levels welcome. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

What to Wear:
👟 Sturdy shoes
👖 Long pants are recommended
🧤 Work gloves
🤓 Eye protection
☀️ Sunscreen
🐞 Insect repellent
🎒 Hydration pack or bring water bottle

Happy Global Fat Bike Day! Word on the street is that New Fane is running really, really good!

We are kicking off our second ever fundraiser for Giving Tuesday, and one of our biggest needs right now is covering the cost of our annual insurance so we can keep doing what we’re doing!

Over the last year, a lot has been accomplished at New Fane thanks to all of our dedicated volunteers. From erosion repair to leaf blowing, trimming, general trail maintenance, and machine GROOMING, this community has made so much possible and helped keep the trails safe and fun for everyone.

Your support helps us stay insured, equipped, and ready to care for the trails.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the New Fane Mountain Bike Association this year. As a small volunteer-run nonprofit, every donation helps us take care of the trails at the New Fane Trail Area.

Wow! What a start to the season! ❄️ We’re pleased to announce that New Fane is GROOMED! Please hold off on riding as the trail needs to set up. The weather forecast is looking cold so you have plenty of opportunity to ride this week. Trailbot will be updated as soon as it’s open for tires! FAT tires only!

Projects to be expected are mostly drainage issues and trimming back overgrowth.

This past weekend, a few trail crew members joined Steve to get a head start on spring cleaning and repairs, as well as kick off our first project. Huge thanks to Chad Wilson, Bob Pierron, and Earl Gesling for their volunteer efforts. We appreciate you!

Current Trail Conditions: The bike trails remain closed due to wet conditions. Riding now would cause damage, so please respect the trails and our volunteers by staying off until they dry out.

Big news! We are official, official! 🎉

The State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has approved our Recreational Land Use Agreement and Work Plan for the New Fane Trail Area! This is a huge milestone for NFMBA.

So, what does this mean?

We now have clear guidelines on what we’re allowed to do and when we’re permitted to do it, including trail maintenance and winter grooming. We know which projects we can move forward with and which ideas will need to be reviewed during the upcoming master planning process.

We’ve had some questions about what we’ll be doing and when we’ll start calling for volunteers. We can answer those questions with certainty now! Now that we have our approvals, stay tuned for updates! In the meantime, feel free to join our volunteer group on Facebook.
