Our brand-new Preschool Story Time schedule starts in late July! Whether you want to join us from the comfort of your living room or hang out with us in person, we have a fun-filled lineup ready for you.

Here is how you can join the fun starting July 21st:

📺 YouTube Tuesdays with Sara

When: Tuesdays @ 11:15 AM (Starting July 21st)

What to expect: A wonderful morning of stories, rhymes, scarves, & shakers!

Ready to do some exploring this summer? Get a closer look at nature by picking up our newest Grab & Go Kit for elementary-age children from the Kewanee Public Library District Youth Room!

With this kit, kids get a set of foldable binoculars that they can completely customize. Whether they want to draw rainbows, pirate skulls, or wild outdoor patterns, they can color it their way and then head outside to look for birds, bugs, and plants! 🦜🌸

🍳 Recipe Round-Up: Package Treasures! 🍰
Do you have a go-to dish that comes straight from the back of a chocolate chip bag, a soup can, or a box of pasta? Some of the absolute best comfort foods are hidden right on the packaging!

Join us for our next Recipe Round-Up, where this month's delicious theme is "Recipes from the Back of the Package."

Here is how it works:

Cook or Bake: Whip up your favorite dish inspired by a recipe found on a food package or label.

Bring to Pass: Bring the dish to share with the group (potluck style!).

Share the Secret: Bring along copies of the recipe so everyone can take the instructions home.

It’s the perfect afternoon of great food, recipe swapping, and wonderful company!

Get ready for an action-packed, high-energy morning of music, comedy, and water fun! We are taking the library excitement outdoors, and you won’t want to miss a single second of this fantastic double-feature event.

📅 Event Details:
When: Tuesday, June 24th (Don't miss out!)

Where: Liberty Park (West Park)

Schedule:

11:00 AM: The Spoon Man Performance

Immediately After: Kewanee Park District Splash Pad Party!

🎵 Act 1: The Spoon Man
Kick things off with a hilarious, interactive, and totally unique musical comedy show. The Spoon Man offers a knee-slapping performance that will have the whole family laughing, clapping, and tapping their toes. It's clean, fast-paced fun for all ages!

🌊 Act 2: Splash Pad Party!
Once the show wraps up, the fun keeps rolling! Cool down with our awesome partners at the Kewanee Park District for an epic Splash Pad Party.

🎒 What to Pack: Don't forget your towels, swimsuits, sunscreen, and plenty of energy!
