Welgat Mafia Mission Statement

The Welgat Mafia was born from gratitude.

When cancer touched our family, our community surrounded us with love, support, prayers, encouragement, and generosity. We experienced firsthand the incredible impact that a caring community can have during life’s most difficult moments, and we will never forget the people who helped carry us through that journey.

Inspired by that support, family and friends came together to form the Welgat Mafia with a commitment to pay it forward. Our mission is to support individuals and families facing illness, medical challenges, personal hardships, and unexpected obstacles by providing financial assistance, emotional encouragement, and community support.

In addition, we are dedicated to strengthening our community by supporting local events, organizations, and initiatives that bring people together and improve the lives of those around us. Through fundraising, volunteerism, and acts of kindness, we strive to make a lasting difference wherever help is needed.

We believe that when one person struggles, a community can lift them up—and when a community thrives, everyone benefits.
Because when one of us needs help, we all show up. ❤️

Wow. We are truly overwhelmed by the incredible support shown by our community during the Fugly Open Golf Play Day and Rally for Mig Celebration of Life, Taco Dinner & Raffle Night.

Because of your generosity, participation, donations, sponsorships, volunteer efforts, and countless acts of kindness, this event was a tremendous success. Whether you golfed, bought raffle tickets, enjoyed tacos, donated, or simply helped spread the word, you helped honor Miguel’s memory and support those he loved.

The Martinez family felt the love and support of this amazing community, and for that we are forever grateful. Throughout this difficult time, our community came together to celebrate Miguel’s life in a way that truly reflected the impact he had on so many people.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day possible. We are reminded just how fortunate we are to live in a place where people show up for one another when it matters most.
