📣 Kentucky Small Businesses: You May Qualify for a State Tax Credit!

The Kentucky Small Business Tax Credit Program offers eligible businesses a nonrefundable state income tax credit ranging from $3,500 to $25,000.

Your business may qualify if it:

✅ Has 50 or fewer full-time employees
✅ Added and maintained at least one eligible full-time W-2 position for 12 consecutive months
✅ Pays the employee an average equivalent of at least $10.88 per hour
✅ Invested at least $5,000 in qualifying equipment or technology

The qualifying employee may be a salaried owner who recently put themselves on the company’s W-2 payroll, provided the position increases the business’s eligible base employment and satisfies all other program requirements.

Qualifying purchases may include computers, business equipment, furniture, fixtures, furnishings, and certain vehicles titled in the business’s legal name.

The credit is limited to the lesser of $3,500 per eligible position or the qualifying amount invested, with a maximum credit of $25,000 per business each calendar year.

🚨 Applications should be submitted by November 1 to be fully reviewed for consideration for a tax credit in the current tax year. Applications may be accepted after that date, but approval for the current year is not guaranteed.

Learn more and access the application through the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. https://newkentuckyhome.ky.gov/Entrepreneurship/KSBTC

For application assistance, contact [email protected] or call (800) 626-2930.

Please share this opportunity with a Kentucky small-business owner who may qualify!
