Exciting News - We are thrilled to share that Naomi Spence, formerly Executive Director of The Hunger Coalition in Bellevue, Idaho. has accepted the position of Executive Director of Shoshone Project, beginning October 1.
Naomi’s decision to join Shoshone Project is an incredible affirmation of our mission and the importance of our work supporting rural communities throughout Lincoln and Camas counties. Her experience, leadership, and deep commitment to strengthening communities make her the perfect person to help guide us into this next chapter.
This is an exciting moment for Shoshone Project—one that will allow us to deepen our impact, strengthen partnerships, and continue building an organization that will serve our communities for years to come.

A message from Naomi:
“When I first began working with Shoshone Project, I knew Shoshone mostly as a town I passed through on my way somewhere else. In just a few short months, the community leaders, educators, families, and students of Lincoln County have completely changed that perspective.
After nearly two decades working with families, one lesson stands out: financial hardship never tells the whole story. Families can struggle to make ends meet while also raising children rooted in love, strong values, hard work, and service to others. That is exactly what I have witnessed in Lincoln County.
I hope you’ll join me in supporting Shoshone Project. Together, we can help fuel the dreams, resilience, and community spirit that make these rural communities such special places—and create opportunities that will benefit generations to come.”

Welcome to Shoshone Project, Naomi! We can’t wait for this next chapter. 💙
