Fair warning: I took this video this morning and I’m just now getting a chance to post it, and I look like hell. That’s rescue life 🤣. Ollie, however, looks amazing, so focus on him.

Meet Ollie.

This boy has been through more than most dogs will ever face. Major surgeries. A long road of recovery. And through all of it, he just kept going.

Ollie has been with a foster while he healed, and now he’s back with us, almost four weeks in, and he is doing beautifully. Settled. Sweet. Ready.

Ready to stop being a dog in transition and start being somebody’s dog. For real, for good, forever.

Now, we’re going to be honest with you, because Ollie deserves an honest introduction. He’s been through enough that he holds on tight to the people he loves, and that loyalty shows up in some protective behaviors around food his person and his space. He can be growly when he feels like something he loves might be at stake. We get it, Ollie. We really do.

The good news is he’s actively working with our behaviorist and trainer, and he is responding. These are things we can talk through together, and we want to, because the right home for Ollie isn’t intimidated by a little complexity. They’re just the right fit.

Watch this video. And if something in you says I want to know more, reach out. DM us, comment, email us. We will talk to you about this boy as long as it takes.

🤍 Ollie has earned his people. Let’s find them.

🐾✨ THEY MADE IT. ✨🐾

Last night, Carrie Anne and her boys Claudius and Caesar walked through the door of their forever home, all three of them, together.

Just weeks ago these sweet souls were facing euthanasia after losing the only life they had ever known. Today they are safe, loved, and right where they belong.

This is why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who shared, who reached out, who refused to let these three slip through the cracks. You helped make this moment possible.

Mama and her boys. Home. Forever. 🤍

I don’t know how to make this more urgent than it is.

Carrie Anne is 7. Her sons Claudius and Caesar are 4. Their mom passed away. They are still in her home in Mountainhome, Idaho, being looked after by a good man who stepped up when no one else did. But he takes a permanent job in Washington at the end of May and then that is it. Eight days.

We are a full rescue. We want to help them. We cannot do it without a foster.

We pay everything. Food, vet care, supplies. All of it. You just give them a safe place while we find them their forever home.

These are good dogs. All three are house trained and had full house privileges with their mom. Carrie Anne at 7 is happiest spending her days outside but she wants to be indoors at night, tucked in safe like she has always been. Claudius and Caesar are easy, they would thrive in a working environment or just as happy bouncing in and out, whatever works for your life. They have lived with chickens and goats. They are not a mystery. They are just dogs who lost someone they loved, and they are still sitting in her house waiting for someone to come.

You do not have to be in Idaho. We will transport anywhere for the right home and the right people. Distance is not the barrier. Time is.

Please share this. Please reach out. Please help us find them eight days’ worth of grace.

Hansen update, and it’s a good one. 🤍

He’s been with his new family for just under three weeks, and the love they have for him is already so clear. They adore this dog, and he is absolutely thriving.

Sheep integration is still a work in progress with the other three, but he’s doing beautifully, and we couldn’t be more proud of how far he’s come.

Do I miss him? Every single damn day. Him and his two girls. But watching Hansen step into the life he was always meant to have, with a family who loves him so deeply? That’s the whole point of all of it.

So proud of you, big guy. Go be great. 🐑🤍

Meet Ollie. If you’ve been following his journey, you know this boy has been through the wringer and if you’re just meeting him, pull up a chair because this story deserves to be told.
Six months. Six months of one thing after another. Ollie recently came back to rescue after being with a foster near where he received his speciality surgery. After a serious infection took hold in his leg, leaving his body no choice but to fight just to get through each day. The hardware that was meant to help him heal had to come out entirely plates, screws, all of it, in his second surgery. He is tired. He is thin. The muscles in his rear legs have atrophied from the trauma his body has endured. And yet, when you look at Ollie, what you see is a dog who is still here, still trying, still full of energy and life that refuses to quit.
In a few weeks, when he has had time to rest and recover, Ollie will be ready for his forever home.
He will need a family who understands that a dog who has known this much uncertainty learns to hold on tight when he finds something good. Ollie has a tendency to claim his person and honestly, can you blame him? When someone finally shows you patience and love after everything you have been through, of course you want to hold onto that. We are working with him on building confidence and security so that love doesn’t come with anxiety attached to it. But the foundation is there. The heart is there.
What Ollie needs is simple: a home with a big couch, a lot of love to give, and people who understand that earning his trust will be one of the most rewarding things they have ever done.
He has never caught a break. It’s time he finally does.
If you think you might be Ollie’s person, reach out. He has been waiting a long time for you. 🤍

Idaho Gives was a huge success, and that is because of every single one of you. Thank you. Now it’s time to put that energy to work in a different way. It’s time to get our rescue dogs off rescue and into homes, so we can open doors for the ones still waiting to be saved.
Beau and Lady are a good place to start. They’ve each been adopted twice and returned twice. They need to go home together this time, and they come with a story we want to share openly with the right person. Look at these photos. This is who they are. Gentle, trusting, and still so willing to love.
Reach out. Let’s talk. Helping them find home is how we make room to save the next one.

In memory of Olaf RIP❤️🙏🏻🐾

I have to be honest with you. 🐾

When Unega was started I was doing everything I could out of pocket. I was just a person trying to educate myself on why these dogs were abandoned. Saving the dogs nobody wanted. I did not know if anyone else would care the way I cared.

I did not know if this community would see what I saw when I looked at these animals.

Today I have my answer!!

Idaho Gives is complete and the number of people who showed up for our dogs this week has genuinely moved me in a way I am struggling to put into words.

It was not just the match we closed. It was the sheer number of you who looked at what we are doing and decided it was worth believing in!

That is a movement. That is Unega making a statement that we are not going anywhere. We are here, full throttle, fighting for every abandoned guardian, every dog working through pain, every majestic animal surviving alone in a field waiting for someone to finally come.

You are why we can keep coming.
Thank you for this week. Thank you for these dogs. Thank you for being the voice behind our voice. 🤍🐾

Tonight is the last night of Idaho Gives and I find myself just feeling grateful. 🐾
Grateful for every single person who saw our dogs this week and chose to show up for them. Grateful for the shares at midnight and the donations that came in while I was navigating emergency calls for abandoned guardians. Grateful that these majestic dogs have people in their corner who have never even met them.
We are $2,625 away from closing our match completely. Five hours left.
If you feel moved to give or share tonight, we would be so honored. And if you already have, please just know that it meant something real. To me. To our team. And to every dog who got a second chance because this community refused to look away.
For the love of the guardians. Always. 🤍
