Peppa update 🐷💖

Good news first — Peppa’s ear biopsies came back NOT cancerous!! We are beyond relieved and thankful for that update 🙌💕

As for Peppa herself… she is spunky and spicy as ever 😂 She is NOT happy about being stuck in a pen away from her friends, but unfortunately it’s doctor’s orders for now. Since coming home she has been mad at the world… even going after her daddy 🤦‍♀️🤣 I think she’s holding a serious grudge for him putting her in the trailer.

We’re hoping her demeanor evens out a bit once those hormones settle down. She’s way too big to be having bad manners 😂

Thank you all again for the love, prayers, donations, and support during her surgery and recovery. She definitely keeps life interesting around her.

Huge thank you to everyone who donated — we met our match!! 🎉🐷💕

You all have no idea how much this means to us and to Peppa. Because of your generosity, we were able to spring Peppa from University of Tennessee and bring our girl home!

This morning she woke up bright eyed, sweet, and cheery… then they gave her a shot and the TRUE Spicy 🌶️ Peppa showed up 🤣🤣 Let’s just say everyone remembered very quickly that she is still very much Queen Peppa.

We are so grateful for every donation, share, prayer, and encouraging message through this stressful week. Her surgery ended up being much more complicated than expected, but thanks to all of you we were able to get her the care she needed.

Now it’s time for recovery, snacks, and probably a whole lot of attitude. 🐽💕

We officially have HALF of Peppa’s $500 donor match covered! ❤️🐷

We got to visit sweet Peppa this afternoon. She’s had a really rough couple of days and definitely isn’t feeling her best, but she still enjoyed her belly rubs and extra love. Please continue keeping her in your thoughts as she recovers.

Unfortunately, her surgery ended up being much more complicated than anyone expected. Her veterinarians discovered she had significantly more vasculature than normal, which made the procedure take much longer and required a lot more careful tying and surgical time to make sure there would be no bleeding complications. It was not something anyone could have predicted beforehand.

Because of this, her final bill ended up being DOUBLE the original estimate. The amount we originally fundraised covered the estimated cost, but not the actual final bill 😭

We are still trying to cover the remaining balance, and truly ANY help makes a difference — even just $1 helps get us closer. With nearly 3.8k followers, if even a fraction of our supporters donated a dollar, we could get Peppa’s bill covered quickly.

We are so incredibly grateful and excited to share that a generous supporter has offered a 500 donor MATCH to help cover the remainder of Peppa’s veterinary bill! ❤️🐷

That means every donation made toward Peppa’s care will be matched up to 500 donor, doubling the impact for this sweet girl’s medical expenses.

Peppa has already been through so much with her journey to surgery, and while she is doing well, the final bill ended up being much higher than anticipated. As a mostly self-funded sanctuary, large emergency and specialty vet bills hit us hard — especially after already facing over $1,100 in vet expenses for Hansel and Gretel this month alone.

We now have nearly 3.8k followers on this page, and it really puts into perspective how quickly small acts of kindness add up — if just 500 people donated $1 each, we would reach the match goal and cover the rest of Peppa’s bill. 🐽✨

Update on sweet Peppa 🐷💕

Peppa is doing well so far and we are incredibly thankful for everyone keeping her in their thoughts and prayers during this journey. She has been such a brave girl through everything and we are hopeful for a smooth recovery ahead.

Unfortunately, Peppa’s veterinary bill is turning out to be much higher than we originally anticipated and we urgently need help covering her unexpected medical expenses. As many of you know, we are mainly a self-funded sanctuary and we do our absolute best to provide every animal here with the care they deserve no matter the cost. Earlier this month alone, we already faced an $1,100 vet bill for Hansel and Gretel’s surgeries and medical care.

🐷💕 Today is the big day for Peppa! She is at the University of Tennessee for her spay surgery, and we would love all the prayers, positive thoughts, and good vibes for our sweet girl today.

Peppa has come such a long way from being an unwanted “jumper piglet” from the meat industry to becoming a deeply loved rescue pig with a whole community cheering her on. She may be stubborn, dramatic, and a little spicy at times… but she is also incredibly special. ❤️

Before surgery this morning we got her official weight… and WOW 😳🐽
