Hello Wrestling Family!

What an incredible way to end our season hosting the 34th Don Ley Memorial Tournament and our final tournament in the current PV Middle School.

It is no small task to run an event with nearly 300 wrestlers, and we absolutely could not have done it without the support of our PVJW families, our amazing community and sponsors. You all stepped up, filled roles, solved problems, and helped make this tournament a true success.

We also saw the payoff of months of hard work, dedication, and outstanding coaching. These young wrestlers showed grit, growth, and heart all season long, and we are so proud of every one of them.

Thank you again for being such an incredible wrestling family. This season was special because of all of you.

What an amazing weekend on the mat!

We had wrestlers competing at Elementary State, Wiggins, and Highland, and they showed up in a big way. We are especially proud of our athletes and coaches for earning the Sportsmanship Trophy AGAIN at the Shane Stewart Memorial. This is such a meaningful award, and it speaks volumes about the character of our wrestlers and the leadership of our coaches.

We will be getting an entire team picture with the trophy this week at practice!!

No experience is needed—we are happy to train anyone for any of the positions.

This tournament is our largest fundraiser of the year, and it plays a huge role in keeping costs low so the youth in our community can continue participating in this sport. You do not need to have a personal connection to a wrestler to volunteer or to share the link. Anyone can help.

34th Annual Don Ley Memorial Tournament takes place March 28th 2026!

We will be hosting age divisions 4U, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and GIRLS ONLY divisions 14U, K-2 and 3-5 (age as of January 1, 2026).

This year we will also have a Raffle Fundraiser - more detail to come!!

Platte Valley Junior Wrestling is looking for community sponsors for this season! 🤼‍♂️

Our program supports young athletes by teaching discipline, hard work, and sportsmanship. We can’t do it without the support of our local businesses and families.

Sponsorship funds help cover:
• Tournament entry fees
• Equipment & uniforms

Hello Westling Family!

The wrestling area is available on Tuesday 1/13 and Thursday 1/15. We will have one session, so all age groups will need to arrive at 5:30 (we will plan to go for an hour to an hour and a half depending on how many wrestlers/age groups show up).

This is not an official practice, however, even if your wrestler does not plan on participating in a tournament this weekend they are still more than welcome to join us for some additional mat time.
