K'Star Inc. K'Star Inc is a community based organization creating safe and caring environments for Texas youth. Contact us to register for classes.

Emergency Shelter:

K'STAR Emergency Shelter provides nurture and support for displaced children. Through the practice of Trauma-Informed Care, we start the process of healing the abuse, neglect, and trauma suffered in their early years. Our home can house up to twenty youngsters ages birth to seventeen. Free Counseling and Family Services:

It is our goal to help families develop the skills they need to remain together in a safe and loving environment for all involved. Our family and youth counseling services are provided free of charge to eligible families and aim to prevent runaways, truancy, abuse, and neglect. We maintain a crisis hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for children and parents. Free Parenting Classes:

In the event that a court of law requires you to attend parenting classes, we offer a class once a week for six weeks. At the successful conclusion of the class, you receive a certificate of completion to turn in to meet Child Protective Services, court, or probation requirements.

We’re collecting candy and monetary donations to help supply our KSTAR counselors with everything they need for Trunk-or-Treat events across our 14 Hill Country counties! These events are a fun way to connect with local families, spread some Halloween cheer and share the services and support KSTAR has available to children and families in our communities.

We’re so grateful for local businesses like Fitness First that step up to support our mission and the families we serve!

KSTAR INC is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to join our team in Kerrville, TX for both 1st and 2nd shifts! In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals by providing hands-on support, care, and encouragement every single day. If you have a passion for helping others and want to be part of a supportive team, we want to hear from you!
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility

Responsibilities:
Monitor and document client health, behavior, and progress in accordance with care plans
Administer medications and follow prescribed health protocols as directed
Assist clients with community integration, recreational activities, and social engagement
Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare professionals, and family members regarding client needs
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all individuals in care
Respond appropriately to behavioral situations using approved intervention techniques

K'STAR would like to take a moment to Thank Chad Sells for going above and beyond to help make our K'STAR Big Ta' Do a success. Chad not only helped organize and coordinated our wonderful volunteers, but he also volunteered his own time throughout the event to help wherever he was needed.
We truly appreciate his dedication, hard work, and willingness to step up and support K'STAR and the children we serve every day. Your time and commitment did not go unnoticed!💙

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all our judges for giving their time and helping with the voting process. Your participation helped us make the competition fair, organized and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you to everyone who also stepped up and helped behind the scenes, including those who helped with Auction, Vehicle Entries, Event entry, Volunteer coordination, and keeping everything nicely organized throughout the day!🙌

K'STAR wants to give a big shout-out to Raising Cane's for stepping up supporting our children at the shelter through fundraising benefit!

It's more than just chicken, fries, and that famous Cane's sauce it's about community coming together to make a difference in the lives of children who need it most.
