Emergency Shelter:

K'STAR Emergency Shelter provides nurture and support for displaced children. Through the practice of Trauma-Informed Care, we start the process of healing the abuse, neglect, and trauma suffered in their early years. Our home can house up to twenty youngsters ages birth to seventeen. Free Counseling and Family Services:

It is our goal to help families develop the skills they

need to remain together in a safe and loving environment for all involved. Our family and youth counseling services are provided free of charge to eligible families and aim to prevent runaways, truancy, abuse, and neglect. We maintain a crisis hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for children and parents. Free Parenting Classes:

In the event that a court of law requires you to attend parenting classes, we offer a class once a week for six weeks. At the successful conclusion of the class, you receive a certificate of completion to turn in to meet Child Protective Services, court, or probation requirements.

KSTAR is so blessed to welcome Natalie Crabtree to our work family! 💙

Natalie brings a Master’s degree in Guidance & Counseling, 6 years of experience in the mental health field and 18 years in behavioral health. Her personal connection to this work makes her passion for helping children even more meaningful.

When asked what drew her to this field, Natalie shared, “I understand the industry and the struggles of these children, being that I myself was adopted. My love for this work grew from working with SPED children at CAMP camp.”

We truly believe we couldn’t have found a better fit for our Treatment Director position. We are so excited to have Natalie on the KSTAR team! 💫

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of the amazing people behind KSTAR our Case Manager! 💙

Our Case Manager works tirelessly to coordinate medical and educational needs, support our kids through difficult moments and connect them with the mental health resources and services they need to thrive.

It takes compassion, dedication and a whole lot of heart to do this work and we’re so grateful to have someone who shows up for our kids every day. 💫
