You can also check out our website at www.hcpreppers.com We offer a common sense approach to emergency preparedness. We are not extreme survivalists or Doomsday Preppers. We simply gather the best information we can find and try to present it in an entertaining manner. We enable and coordinate training for First Aid, CPR, CERT and Ham Radio with organizazions that provide that training. Our goal is to raise the awareness of and participation in Emergency Preparedness.

Emergency Preparedness involves a lot of different factors. Food, water, communications, and medical training are just a few. One that is often overlooked, is news about what is going on around you. Part of that news is politics, and is actually something you can influence through phone calls, emails, social media, and various political organizations, as well as the voter booth.
The recent Texas legislative session produced 17 amendments to the Texas Constitution. The Election to vote on those amendments is November 4, with early voting starting on October 20.
It is your responsibility to be an informed voter, with emphasis on both "Voter" and "Informed". Come learn about the amendments and what they mean for your future and the future of Texas.
We hope you will join us.
The Hill Country Preppers will meet on October 16, 6:00 pm, at 213 Schreiner St., formerly Buzzie's BBQ and now owned by La Tapatia. Their food truck will serve dinner from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

The date for the Emergency Preparedness Expo has changed to September 27.

September is National Preparedness Month. The July 4 Flood raised serious questions about the levels of preparedness and complacency of the residents and visitors on the river that day. While there are also questions regarding the emergency response, The responsibility for survival ultimately rests with the individual.

Each year, in September, we examine the basics of preparedness, to teach, remind, and reinforce the information and actions you need to ensure your survival during an emergency or disaster.

We are still meeting at 213 Schreiner St., in Kerrville, at 6:00 pm on September 18. The La Tapatia food truck will provide dinner. Jerry promised more variety in the menu. We encourage you to patronize the food truck.

Join us for another informative and entertaining session.
