"Artistic Synergy: Digital Realms of Nature and Nurture"

Helen L. Lesley
March 11th - April 29th
Pint & Plow Brewing Company

From the artist:

"I'm a digital artist from Kerrville, Texas, with a passion for weaving together the intricate themes of nature, nurture, and emotional bonds. My journey into art began as a young girl; I was captivated by the faces of both people and animals, closely observing their body language and expressions. This fascination laid the foundation for my artistry, which, although primarily digital, also embraces traditional techniques.

I delight in crafting digital narratives that delve into the deep connections between beings, inviting viewers into a world where every line and color tells a story of kinship and care. Presenting my work in my first art showcase, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and continuously inspired to highlight the unity and diversity of life.

Open to commissions and collaborations, I aim to reflect the intricate tapestry of relationships that define us all."

In January 2024, Texas Runs on Water invited students to submit artwork that highlighted Kerrville's connection to water. These artworks pay tribute to the ways that water supports and inspires our lives, from the water we drink to the Guadalupe River that has sustained generations of people. These works explore our connections to water and are a visual reminder that Texas Runs on Water.

This contest was part of a collaborative art project between the Upper Guadalupe River Authority Kerrville Public Utility Board (KPUB) , Hill Country Alliance , the Texas Water Foundation Kerrville Urban Trail System Big Seed, Kerrville's Community Art Program (Kerrville Convention & Visitors Bureau) , and local Kerrville schools.

Two submissions were selected, but all submissions on are temporary display on the Big Seed wall at Pint & Plow Brewing Company now until March 1st.

Two utility boxes down, a thousand more to go! We're looking at you TxDOT
