🎓Our 2025 - 2026 Graduating Seniors🎓
Our last graduating senior of the 2025 - 2026 academic year is Jordan Hester! We asked her a few questions about her journey, and here’s what she shared:
Jordan shared that being a part of this team has meant so much more to her than just riding horses. Jordan said it has given her a sense of community, support, and confidence throughout college. '' I've met incredible people. I learned how to push myself outside my comfort zone. and created memories that I'll always carry with me. The team has became a place where i could grow both as a rider and as a person''.
The biggest takeaway from being a part of this program for Jordan was that:
''The biggest lesson I've learned is patience and resilience. Horses teach you very quickly that progress doesn't happen overnight, and ever setback is an opportunity to improve. The program also taught me the importance of trust, consistency, and staying calm under pressure - lessons that apply far beyond riding''.
When it comes to favorite horses, Jordan said:
“My favorite Camp Stewart horse has been Dually, I loved working with her because she taught me a lot about confidence and communication as a rider. Every ride with her challenged me in a different way, and I always felt like I learned something new after getting out of the saddle''.
Some advice from Jordan to our new recruits:
'' Don't compare yourself to anyone else, and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and every rider has something different they're working on. Be open to learning, ask questions, and enjoy the process. The more time and effort you put in. the more rewarding the experience becomes''.
After graduation, Jordan is attending the University of Liverpool for graduate school to continue pursuing her education. ''Because of that, I probably will not have many opportunities to be around horses regularly for a while. Even so, being apart of this program has given me experiences and lesson that I'll carry with me, and I hope that someday I'll be able to reconnect with riding again in the future''.
What a beautiful testimony to your growth, strength, and heart. We are so proud of you, Jordan 🤍🐴
