4-H is a national organization which helps
young people develop life-long knowledge
and skills to become engaged citizens. The Kerr County 4-H Horse Club is open to young people with or without horses and with or without any prior experience riding! We strive to present opportunities for our members to learn about all aspects of horsemanship, including safety, different types and breeds of horses,

tack and equipment, equestrian events, and riding lessons with community partners. Click "Sign Up" at the top of our Page to enroll via 4-H Connect; there is a $20.00 annual membership fee if you enroll by October 31st, and the membership fee increases to $25.00 after that!

Today the Kerr County Horse Club had a horse judging contest in Houston (Katy). Congratulations to all the kids that competed.

Madelyn Hall won District, and Samuel Hall was 3rd place in District.
The Senior team won 2nd place at District and qualified for the State Contest in June.

While Kerr County is iced over, a couple of the kids from the Kerr 4H Horse Club traveled to Ft Worth, where there is no ice on the roads, to compete in the TQHA Horse Judging contest.
