The Kerrville ISD Band Boosters is a non-profit organization that consists of parents and friends of the Kerrville ISD band programs. The band programs that the boosters support are Hal Peterson Middle School and Tivy High School. The Kerrville ISD Band Boosters helps provide financial assistance to all the band programs to help offset costs for instruments, music, and other equipment. Annual acti
vities: operate concession stands for volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball home games; facilitate meals before home and away games; subsidize meals for regional students; decorate band stands for homecoming; accessorize band uniforms for Breast Cancer awareness, and more. The Band Boosters’ fundraising efforts support the Rick Burgess Scholarship program that is available to eligible graduating seniors as well as the Steve Hamilton Service Award. Fundraising to help support the material needs of the KISD band programs is only a small part of the Band Booster Club. There are many opportunities available such as chaperoning, halftime program assistance, preparing meals, band banquet preparations, and more. Cheering the students on during competitions or attending their concerts provides great support and encouragement to the bands. There are many volunteer opportunities available from sixth grade up to twelfth grade. The Band Booster Club is not always about serving or volunteering. Being a Booster also provides you with much-needed information regarding the band programs and the opportunity to provide feedback and find support with other band parents. Meetings are held monthly, every second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m.
