2019 Kern River Festival Schedule of Events

Meet at Sierra South at 5:00, In back at Office Parking. Otherwise, come to the
“Curve” at Riverkern at 5:30
Saturday April 27th

8:30am Set up Registration tent and sound, buy raffle tickets
8:30-11:00 Brush Creek Registration – On site only Brush Creek Campground
10:00 - 5:00pm Registration: Slalom, Slalom Clinic, and Triathlon, Riverside Park
9:00 - 6:00pm Slalom Practice, Riverside Park – all day
11:00pm Brush Creek Boaters Meeting and Race, on site - Brush Creek
12:00 - 5:00pm BRUSH CREEK RACE - Brush Creek
6:00pm-10:00pm Brush Creek Awards Party – (no host) Kern River Brewing Company

11:00am TJ Slalom Kayak & SUP Meeting - Riverside Park
11:15am SLALOM RACE STARTS - TJ Slalom Kayak & SUP Race - Riverside Park
12:00-2:00 Chalk Art Contest for Kids, Riverside Park
1:30pm Drawing for Fundraiser Raffle – 50/50 raffle

Single Event: $25.00 + $5 ACA insurance (Brush Creek, Triathlon, Slalom)
Tri prices: $25.00 per individual ($5 ACA ) or each Team member
Slalom Clinic: $15.00 (about 45 to 55 min) Must pre-register

The Kern River Festival is the first festival of the season out west. It plays host to the classic discipline of olympic slalom on the Kern and new school extreme kayaking with races on Brush Creek. Also part of the program is Standup Paddle Boarder Cross and the Build Your Own Boat and Race it, Hooligan Race.
