In Sudan, families are fleeing unspeakable violence. In South Sudan, conflict and flooding are pushing communities to the brink. In these moments of crisis, our local partners are the first and most effective responders—architects of resilience working tirelessly to save lives and uphold dignity.

But they need our support.
The traditional aid system is too slow and too siloed. We are building a better way. Amani USA, Inc. exists to provide flexible, urgent resources directly to these local heroes so they can do what they do best: serve their communities.

Amani USA is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization committed to advancing grassroots solutions that uplift lives and strengthen communities across South Sudan, throughout Africa, and within historically underserved populations in the United States. Rooted in the women and youth-led legacy of Amani South Sudan, we mobilize global resources, cultivate strategic partnerships, and support transformative, community-driven development grounded in dignity, equity, and resilience.

Our work spans six interconnected thematic areas. We promote access to safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive education in crisis-affected and under-resourced settings, ensuring that every child, especially girls, can learn, grow, and lead. We champion universal access to reproductive health, maternal care, and trauma-informed mental health services, bridging critical care gaps in rural Africa and communities in the U.S.

Through investments in climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem restoration, and food security, we help vulnerable communities adapt and thrive amid environmental and economic shocks. Our empowerment programs create inclusive spaces for women and youth to lead through vocational training, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and gender-based violence prevention. In times of displacement, conflict, or disaster, we respond with life-saving humanitarian assistance, protection, and psychosocial support. We promote peacebuilding and social cohesion through grassroots peace circles, intergenerational healing, and community-led reconciliation efforts.

As part of our growing impact in the United States, Amani USA is committed to supporting African-American and African diasporic communities, particularly youth and women, through culturally rooted healing, civic engagement, mental health education, and pathways to economic opportunity. We believe in bridging the gap between ancestral roots and contemporary challenges, building a united platform for advocacy, identity, and legacy.

Our roots lie in Amani South Sudan, a nationally registered, women and youth-led humanitarian and development organization serving the country’s most vulnerable populations. Amani South Sudan operates at the intersection of health, protection, gender equality, and resilience-building, delivering integrated programs that reach women, girls, and young people affected by conflict, climate shocks, and structural inequalities.

Its core programming includes maternal and reproductive health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, and community health systems strengthening. These pillars are implemented through community outreach, mobile health services, safe spaces for women and girls, and direct support to primary healthcare facilities, anchored in trusted relationships with local leaders, frontline workers, and the communities we serve.

When the Climate Fails, Farmers Suffer — But Not Alone

In South Sudan, changing weather patterns have turned once-fertile fields into parched, unpredictable ground. Farmers struggle with poor yields, failed seasons, and eroding hope.
The first image shows a field stunted by climate stress, where seeds that once promised a harvest now struggle to survive.

But Amani South Sudan is not standing by.
