Okay, sorry for the delay on this everyone. Apparently there is alot of paper work needed from Paypal for non-profits, it's a little overwhelming and I took a Bonnaroo break, but I will get it done.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know we have almost got the Torn Together site fully functional. I am waiting for Paypal to verify my account with them and then we will be able to donate to any local cause through our site. So if anyone is familiar with a local situation that needs our attention please let me know. I am really excited about the possibilities of this site. Also, nobody fret, I am still new at the website thing and will be constantly working on its appearance. It was just more important to me to get it functioning first. As I learn tricks of the trade I will be making upgrades. Also if there is anyone out there who would like to help in the development of this site please let me know. You can check it out at http://www.TornTogether.org. We have got the Blog started and the area to place causes as they arise. Once they are in the causes catalog you will be able to look through different local causes and donate at anytime, any amount you would like to, in a quick,easy and safe enviroment. Thanks

Alright, this school semester is over and now I can focus a little more time and effort into this project. First off, I want to thank everyone who was involved with the benefit bash. Inlcuding Ten-O-one sports bar, Smitty's Oyster Bar, Outwest Steakhouse, Noma, Time to Eat, and NC Confidential for all of your donations towards the raffle. More importantly, I would like to thank everyone who came out to show thier love. Together we raised $1,300. Of course, this doesn't go to far on a $35,000+ surgery but I think the idea of friends, family, and community coming together for one person was more important than the money anyway.
