These awards can be a great way to plan an outing, find an area for growth, or recognize achievements that your crew is already doing!

Here is a list of every recognition featured in case you are curious: 50 Miler, Boardsailing, Grand Slam, Historic Trails, Kayaking, Mile Swim, National Outdoor, Philmont Masters Track, Range and Target Activites Award, Scuba, Snorkeling, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Triple Crown. There are also more awards and opportunities for adventure that exist in general across Scouting this is not an exhaustive listing!

There are many days where you can enter National Parks for free on certain federal holidays in 2026. This can be a great opportunity to go outdoors with your Venturing Crew or Scouting Unit!

Additionally, the Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger program is a partnership between the National Park Service and Scouting America where scouts can work towards requirements that learn and serve the park system. There will also be representatives from the National Park Service at the upcoming National Jamboree!

Showcase your crew’s interest and your group identity by developing a crew-specific patch!

Venturing Crews may design and wear a cloth emblem on the right sleeve, (right sleeve position 2 in the picture), that identifies the crew and their area of interest. You may only wear the national Venturing emblem, your crew-developed emblem, or the Council Venturing Officers' Association (VOA)/National Venturing Cabinet patch if a VOA Officer. Only one of these patches may be worn here.
