KVFD assisted RC 287 VFD with roughly a 4 acre grass fire this afternoon, along with additional assistance from Powell VFD, Mildred VFD, Eureka VFD, and Corsicana FD. Both a house and camper were threatened, and both saved. Good teamwork by all!

Although this fire was a mechanical accident, we would like to remind everyone we are still under a *BURN BAN* and to use caution when outdoors, especially given the current winds. Stay safe folks!
