Congratulations to Keota High School seniors Garrett Greiner and Gavin Sieren!

Each received a $1,000 Dick Gallagher Memorial Washington Keokuk County Corn & Soybean Growers Scholarship at Keota Jr/Sr High School Senior Awards Night. This scholarship honors longtime board member Dick Gallagher, whose passion for agriculture and future leaders helped shape our organization.

Both students have been active in many facets of agriculture and their communities.

Garrett plans to study Animal Science at Black Hawk College and Oklahoma State University, with goals of working in artificial insemination and operating his own livestock business.

Gavin plans to attend the University of Iowa to study biomedical engineering and chemistry and pursue his dream of becoming a pediatrician serving rural Iowa communities.

We are proud to support these outstanding students and look forward to the impact they will make in agriculture and beyond! 🌽

Reminder if you need a last minute Mother’s Day gift, we’ll be open from 9 to noon today!

Mother’s Day plant sale this weekend. All coleus, geraniums, and salvia are buy one get one free! We will be open Saturday from 9 to noon. We still have plenty of vegetable plugs and hanging baskets left too. This may be are last day open for the season so stop in and check out what we’ve got left.

HUGE announcement from State Convention. Our very own Isaac Striegel has been elected to the 2026-2027 State Officer Team. He will serve as the Southeast District Vice President. To our knowledge this is Keota’s first state officer in our 83 years as a chapter. Congratulations to Isaac and we can’t wait to see his year of service to our organization!

We’ve been having a very successful spring in our greenhouse and are exciting to start having plants ready to leave soon! We will be open next Friday and Saturday, April 24th and 25th from 9-5 with the Rural Road Trip.
