Mine was a rich and rewarding ministry and career. We parted with our LIFT FM radio stations a year ago. LIFT FM was a 25-year-old dream that would not have been fulfilled without God. When we knew it was time for the LIFT FM network to come to an end, we sensed the Lord was giving us the opportunity to be a blessing to THREE ministries. We asked extremely low sale prices from those who eventually bought 88.3 KQLF in Ottumwa and 90.9 KMDY Keokuk so their start up expenses would be low.
In preparing to dissolve our corporation, it became clear to us that we were to disburse our remaining funds for the purpose of training broadcast students and providing for other needs in the communications department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. When we were donating this large amount, we were unaware that they were praying for substantial funding to expand and relocate their broadcast facilities. They had no idea where the initial money was going to come from for that to occur. We are elated that God used us to provide the answer! We couldn't have written a better ending!
Some of MVNU's students and staff expressed their thanks in these notes, and their campus radio station mailed us a surprise package abounding with all kinds of swag. Previously they sent a group video of thanks. I'll try to find it and share it with you later.
