Join us on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2021, for Mass at 11:30 am. A cemetery blessing will follow as we remember those who are laid to rest at St. Rose.

The Candle Lighting Ceremony is our longest running event at St. Rose.

We invite you to continue this special holiday tradition and participate through a two part pre-recorded virtual Candle Lighting Ceremony. (See links below.)

If you listen carefully, you can hear the the sound of 30+ mph winds howling during the recording of the program and bonus music.

As announced in our Spring 2020 'Irish Rose' newsletter mailed on April 22nd, our annual Memorial Day Mass is cancelled due to concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

Open House Hours of 10:00 am - 2:00 pm are scheduled with appropriate social distancing beginning on the 3rd Sunday of each month from June - September.

Post cards will be mailed with the status of these upcoming events:

Ice Cream Social Saturday August 15th 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Candle Lighting Ceremony Sunday December 20th 2:00 pm

It has been 15 years since the Friends of St. Rose converged in the summer of 2002 and embarked upon the task of restoring the historic stone church called St.

On Tuesday, Mike Mackiewicz and his friends from Bone Lake Meadows Apiary (http://bonelakemeadows.com) removed a honey bee colony from the the Northeast corner of the Sacristy roof at St. Rose. Peter Nelson from Pine Island volunteered to take photos of this event. You can view his photos at https://flic.kr/s/aHskGGZBQ7.

Honeybees removed from the renovated former St. Rose of Lima Church in Cherry Grove, Minnesota. Your humble photographer took a bee sting to his left eyebrow in pursuit of these great shots.

The window covers have been removed in preparation for the first of our Summer Visiting Hours. The doors at St. Rose will be open tomorrow, Saturday June 18th from 10:00am - 2:00pm as well as the 3rd Saturday of each month until September.

We hope you can stop by and enjoy a summer drive in the country!
