President Courtney Phillips, Secretary-Treasurer Darius Goebel, and union reps Linda Jerrolds and Michelle Nickson made sure to welcome our new members in style with an ice cream party! To our new union Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings out of Meijer #685, welcome to UFCW 951!

🕊️ Rest in Peace to our union Sister Dolly Parton. 🕊️

Parton had been a member of the labor union SAG-AFTRA for more than five decades, after joining in 1969. She wasn’t just a talented artist, she was a steady supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, helped fund the Moderna vaccine, and gave books to millions of children through her Imagination Library. Her talent and generosity will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Dolly. 🤍🦋

Why should you raise money for the UFCW 951 Foundation?

Because every cent goes back to our members! Each year, the Foundation gives more than $120,000 in scholarships and reimbursements to help members with costs related to education, utilities, travel, childcare, medical expenses, housing, and transportation.

Nearly 100 workplace fundraisers are held annually by the Foundation to help members who are dealing with hardships, such as medical bills, a house fire, or a death in the immediate family. The Foundation matches 25 percent of the amount donated, and altogether this raises more than $40,000 annually for members in need.

The Foundation also provides grants to members impacted by disasters, including the recent ice storms in Northern Michigan and tornadoes in Southwest Michigan.

We’re proud to support our members and build community for all. 💙

🎉 Congratulations to Harding’s 400 on their new contract! 🎉

This new contract is a huge success for Harding’s 400 members, including pension increases for almost every employee, as well as recognition of seniority by moving members to the proper pay scale based on years of service. It also allows Harding’s 400 members to receive a raise when the minimum wage is increased. Congrats again to our 951 Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings at Harding’s 400 in Kalamazoo!
