We’ve updated the requirements for the Foundation’s $5,000 Dave Way Scholarship!🎓

Our previous Dave Way Student Athlete scholarship focused solely on student athletics. In an effort to be more inclusive for our members, we’ve updated it to the Dave Way Student Achievement scholarship, honoring students who participate in important roles in their community, such as activities, work experience, leadership, or family responsibilities.

Only UFCW 951 members or their immediate families can win, and the student must be a high school senior graduating in the spring of 2027 to qualify. Further eligibility requirements are listed on the application. Digital apps can be found and submitted at ufcw951.org under the “Perks” tab, and anyone seeking physical, paper apps should contact their union rep.

The application deadline is May 31st, 2027. Apply now for a chance to win!

Steward conference 2026: Central Region

This past Thursday, over 80 union stewards from Meijer stores in the center of the state gathered to end our annual steward conferences on a high note. UFCW 951 Officers and staff led stewards through education, training, and group activities to learn how to build community and a stronger union for all. Thank you to all the stewards who attended!

Once again, thank you to ALL UFCW 951 stewards for joining us! Your commitment to your members builds a strong union, one to be proud of. We’ll see you all next year!

Steward Conference 2026: East Region

On Tuesday, UFCW 951 Officers and staff hosted our largest steward conference yet for our East region union stewards! Over 130 stewards from eastern Meijer stores came together to share their voices to help build a stronger union for all our members. Thank you to all the stewards who attended!

Steward Conference 2026: Distribution Centers

Yesterday, UFCW 951 Officers and staff gathered with 50 stewards from our Meijer Distribution Centers! Our stewards spent the day taking part in training and activities, as well as discussing the different ways we can build a stronger union and encourage pride of membership for all.
