🧡Meet Moxie🧡 an 8-week-old (3/31/26) domestic shorthair tabby kitten with the cutest little white bandana on her neck and enough personality to keep you smiling all day long! True to her name, Moxie is full of s***k, sass, and confidence. As the smallest of her litter, she’s really had to assert herself to get what she needs! She’s playful, curious, and always ready to tell you exactly how she feels.

Moxie is one of five siblings who came from the animal shelter, and because of her rough start, she is still learning that people can be kind, safe, and loving. She needs a patient and confident adopter who is willing to give her the time, consistency, and understanding she deserves.

Moxie would do best in a home that understands shy or cautious kittens and is committed to helping her grow into the loving companion she is meant to be. If you have patience, kindness, and a soft spot for spirited kittens, Moxie may just steal your heart!

Moxie is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, age-appropriately vaccinated, and microchipped.

We understand that circumstances may arise where people need to seek alternative arrangements for their pets but dumping them by the side of the road should never be the solution.
This poor momma and her six babies were left by the side of the road. When the sheriff’s department went to go get Momma and her puppies, Momma got spooked and ran off, leaving her puppies behind for the night. She had to have spent the most frantic night, wondering where her babies were (they were being taken care of). Thank goodness Ionia County Animal Shelter was able to trap her the next morning and reunite her with her puppies.
Mom and babies are safe and in a foster home with Pet Tales Rescue and she’s a wonderful momma to her puppies.
We know rescues and shelters are beyond full, but please reach out to someone before just leaving them vulnerable to be hit by a car or attacked by another animal.

Meet Gabby😍

Gabby is an approximately 6 month old (1/15/26) mix breed pup that is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find her forever home. This girl has been absolutely amazing in her current foster home. Gabby has been around an entire pack of dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and dispositions and gets along with everyone. She is certified good girl in the social department. Have a cat? Gabby loves furry felines and is very respectful of them and doesn’t chase them. Don’t have any other pets? That’s fine too as long as you are prepared to make Gabby the center of your world. This girl loves to be a part of everything. Like to sit on the couch and snuggle? Perfect so does Gabby. Like to go outside to play fetch and go for walks? Awesome so does Gabby. Looking for someone to keep your bed warm? Fantastic Gabby is up for the job. She is currently sleeping almost all the way though the night. Whatever you are looking for Gabby is sure to steal your heart ❤️

Little dog lovers, 😍meet Fred!

Fred is an adorable 8 lb Chihuahua born 3/17/23. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken, and recently had successful hip surgery. Fred is a total velcro dog who loves being close to his people and bonds very quickly. He is incredibly sweet, lovable, and friendly with everyone he meets. 💝Fred does well with dogs, cats, and children, though he can get a little jealous of other dogs when sharing attention from his favorite person. This affectionate little guy is ready to find a forever home where he can soak up all the love and companionship he deserves.

🐈🐈 Our kittens 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ need your help.

Kitten season has been brutal this year and it’s only June 2nd. We have taken in more orphaned kittens that required bottle feeding and numerous young babies whose mothers have become deceased. One of those babies is Acadia who will need to have her eye removed which will cost several hundred dollars. This is in addition to other kittens that have required several urgent care veterinary appointments.

Grab your favorite doubles partner and join us on Sunday, June 7th, at Dorr Township Park to support an incredible cause!

This special doubles event benefits our friends at Pet Tales Rescue, helping provide care and forever homes for animals in need.

Team Fee: $50
$30 per team goes directly to the fundraiser
$20 per team goes toward the player pack (1 Premium Plastic Disc Per Player $30+Team Value)

Chase some birdies and play for bragging rights while making a difference for local rescue animals.

Bean is a dark grey with white accents and amazing white whiskers. Bean is friendly with people and his siblings. He does the cutest little back lift to get closer to your hands. He loves back scratches and will just melt for them purring contentedly. He’s also been known to walk around with a toy in his mouth growling to keep it to himself.
