The Kenton Lions were on the prowl again. Today we worked on our pet project, the Pioneer Park. We want to give a special roar out to Lion Aaron Osborn and his mulch and landscaping business. Aaron and his business crew took care of all the welcome signs to the City of Kenton and spruced them up by weeding and applying new mulch. Another special roar to Aaron Osborn for helping us get the mulch to do the Pioneer Park. Special roar notice should also go out to Dave Dulin for the extra hours he did on the Kenton Pioneer Park Project. Kenton Lions members who participated in the Pioneer Park Memorial Day spruce up were Daryl Flowers, Jason Van Buskirk, Joe Burgbacher, Dave Dulin, Joey Landsberg, Aaron Osborn, Brad, Bailey, Alger Gibson, Judd Robinson, and John Siemen. It is always the Lions desire to get the park looking good for Memorial Day. The Lions have future plans for the park which we will reveal in the upcoming future. The Kenton Lions would be remiss if we didn’t give a special roar to Robbie and Beth Sarchet. They are neighbors of the park who helped the Lions mulch. They also furnished flowers for the park which were planted. They are very special people to Pioneer Park and the Kenton Lions. If you have not planned on going, please plan on watching the Memorial Day parade. It will start at 10:00 AM on May 25. The Kenton Lions hope to see you there.

The Kenton Lions organize a roadside trash pick up each year. It is the Kenton Lions goal to keep the community clean and welcoming. Today’s volunteers gathered at 309 West and were wearing safety vests, gloves, and worked together to collect litter that had accumulated overtime. This effort not only improves the appearance of the area, but also promotes environmental responsibility and community pride. Today’s participants Bill Keller, Brad Bailey, Ken Hilty, David Dulin, Daryl Flowers, and Michael Hunt.
