A huge thank you to our lodge members for helping with cleaning the patio yesterday. Jill Anstine-Adams, Sue Buroker, Chip Grimshaw, Stacey Hamilton-Davis, Vicki Miller, and Janet Osborn, we really appreciate the time you gave to help us out. There’s still some work to be done on this project, however, so if you would like to help, contact us or Vicki Miller.

We are looking for volunteers to help clean up the lodge’s patio before some landscaping is done. We will start working Wednesday June 3rd at 10 am. We can also use a few tools to help with the process. If interested, let us know in the comments, especially if you are bringing something to help. We hope to see you there, and remember, “Elks Care, Elks Share!”

Patio Season is Here!

The weather is beautiful, and the drinks are cold. The patio is waiting for you!

Members, come join us for a relaxing evening with good friends and great conversation. If you know someone who’s been thinking about joining the Elks, bring them along as your guest and let them experience what we’re all about! We open at 4 pm!

Nothing beats good company, a cold drink, and sunshine on the patio.

A fantastic time was had by all at the lodge’s Derby Party. A big thanks to Shari, Kay, Merril, Derek, our ER Stacey, and all the officers and service team for putting this together. Already looking forward to next year! We’d love to see some of the pictures those who attended took, especially by our horse. Drop them in the comments!

Congratulations to our new state president from all of us at Kenton Lodge 157!

Kenton Lodge #157 was honored to participate in the memorial service on Saturday April 25th during the Ohio State Conference. A eulogy was presented by Lodge Secretary Roger Crowe, PSP & PER to honor the memory of James H. Scheer, PSP (1990-1991) Wapakoneta #1170 (Van Wert #1197). In addition, two songs were performed by the Kentones during the service. Led by Sue Buroker, PER, our group sang Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel as well as Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. We are grateful to have been given the opportunity to help our fellow Elks remember our absent members.

Due to the weather and lack of business the Elks will close tonight at 8:30. We will reopen at 4:00 tomorrow afternoon.
