Rules I give every client before they face a narcissist in court.
Save this before your next hearing.
01: Never explain yourself twice.
A narcissist doesn't misunderstand you.
They need you to keep talking.
02: The calmer you are, the more mistakes they make.
Your silence is their biggest trigger.
03: Stop responding to the emotion. Respond only to the facts.
Strip every message down to logistics.
04: Document everything but react to nothing.
Your evidence folder should be growing while your replies are shrinking.
05: They will bait you the week before court.
Every single time. Expect it. Name it. Don't bite.
06: If their solicitor suggests a “quick chat” without yours present, the answer is always no.
Always.
07: The judge doesn't see your marriage. The judge sees paperwork.
Make sure yours tells the story theirs is designed to hide.
08: You do not need them to agree with you. You need the court to.
Those are two completely different battles.
09: The moment you stop trying to make them see what they did, you get your power back.
10: You were not outmatched. You were playing fair in a game they never intended to be fair.
That changes now.
You don't need to do this alone and you don't need to figure it out as you go.
