Kentland Rotary’s 5K run/walk is October 24 beginning at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kentland. Funds raised will go toward scholarships in the skilled trades schools. See more details in this link where you can register or donate.

The Kentland Rotary 5K Running Towards Success is on Saturday October 24, 2026. It includes the following events: Kentland Rotary Club 5K and Kentland Rotary Club 5K Virtual Option.

It’s almost time for another hearty Rotary pancake breakfast! Saturday, August 15 from 7:30-9:30 at the community center join us for pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. If you have purchased your Rotary raffle ticket you also have the chance to win $2,000 at our earlybird drawing that morning.
Monday, September 7 at the Earl Park festival will be our final drawing for a deluxe golf cart or $15,000 cash prize!!

Our golf cart raffle is underway, raising money for South Newton scholarships since 1994. If you have previously purchased a ticket you will be receiving an application in the mail for this year’s raffle ticket soon! Our early bird drawing for $2,000 will be at the community center during our pancake breakfast August 15.

Kentland Rotarians and guests enjoyed a 5th Tuesday outing to explore all that is new inside and out at the Kentland public library. Rotarian and library director Roberta Dewing gave a brief history of the library from it’s inception in 1909, construction in 1912 with a donation from the Carnegie foundation and its major expansion in 2012 with a grant from the Kankakee Iroquois regional planning commission. With its beginning collection of 1,500 books to its current 35,000 items to lend, this institution is a huge asset to Kentland and the surrounding area!
