📌 Planning Ahead: Understanding Regional Cutoff
Throughout the year, I’ll be sharing helpful bits of information to support your planning and fundraising efforts. Today, I want to highlight our Regional Cutoff Dates.
Take a look at the graphic and make note of your region’s cutoff date as you plan ahead for National Wreaths Across America Day on December 19th.
For those new to the mission, the cutoff date is the last day wreath sponsorships are guaranteed to be delivered in time for National Wreaths Across America Day. We will always do our best to get late sponsorships on the truck and delivered on time—but after the cutoff, we can’t promise it. Any sponsorships that don’t make the truck will be added to the location’s wreath count as a carryover credit for the following year, typically applied by March or April (and sometimes sooner).
✨ What’s different this year: Later cutoff dates give you the opportunity to take advantage of Giving Tuesday to help boost last-minute sponsorships before your regional cutoff—creating a valuable window at the end of the season to maximize how many veterans receive a wreath this year.
While National Wreaths Across America Day takes place in December, our mission—and all of our programs—run all year long. Fundraising, education, and community engagement don’t have a season, and the most successful efforts are often built steadily over time.
Whether you’re planning events, starting conversations, or inviting your community to get involved, now is a great time to think about how you can build momentum for the mission locally—this year and beyond.
👉 Your Dashboard and the Volunteer Resource Page are the best places to start, with tools, ideas, and materials to help you engage your community. You’ll also receive emails from us throughout the year highlighting additional opportunities—so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox.
And if you haven’t connected with your Regional Liaison Team yet, I highly encourage you do! They know your communities, have the tools to help you brainstorm or troubleshoot, and are dedicated to supporting you every step of the way.
