Today we received our very first graduation card for AJ!!!! My heart about exploded!!!!! Joe and I want you all to know that any donation made towards AJ’s 2020 graduation will be 100% put towards the AJWay! I keep thinking about him opening his cards, so excited, he’d be thinking about 1. How he could use the money personally, But 2. Mostly how he could use it for college!! He ALWAYS wanted/planned on going to KSU with his “brother” Liam (Ann Bauer)!! He wanted to join the SWAT team but I’m sure Kyle Branham would have got ahold of him at KSU and he would have joined the Army! I used to always tell him “you won’t be able to join the Army bc I won’t let you!” To which he’d reply “how are you going to stop me if I am 18?” I would laugh (and teasingly say) “it’s going to be hard to sign up when I have you tied up in my basement!” I was so afraid he would really enlist!!! The possibility of losing him due to enlisting, freaked me out! We will always long for “what could have been,” even if that meant joining the Army!!! Despite our loss, I promise his death won’t be in vain!!! We will pay it forward in a big way!!! Thank you all for thinking of us always! But...more importantly, thank you for LOVING our Ashton!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
