To all,
I'm writing to let you know that, due to some unexpected changes in my work situation, I need to resign as Regional Executive of the Northwest Region SCCA, effective January 1, 2026. The demands of my job have reached a level where I simply can't continue to balance everything, and I need to prioritize my business in this challenging economic climate.
I’m committed to making the transition as smooth as possible, and I’ll do everything I can to support the new Regional Executive in any way I am capable.
I also want to share that Kat Stamper will be stepping down as Registrar for the Northwest Region. Her new role at a different firm requires much more of her time so she won’t be able to continue as Registrar.
We both regret having to leave our roles, but we’re confident that, with six months before the first race, there’s plenty of time for new leaders to step up. We’ve come a long way together: when I took over, both Race and Region were deep in debt, now both are comfortably in the black. I’m truly proud of what this team has accomplished and extremely grateful for the mentorship I received during my 8 years as RE.
I think the entire region owes a debt of gratitude to this team and I personally credit these people (and many more) with all the success we have enjoyed:
Ken Jones, Mike Lawler, Sherri Masterson, Gretchen & Tim Weidemann, Bruce Boyd, John Taylor, Debbie Haley, Kevin Needham, Mike Evans, Joe Harlan, Scott Twomey, Kat Stamper
It’s time for new energy to grab the reins and I’m certain whomever takes over as Regional Executive will keep growing the Region’s participation and help ensure Northwest continues to be a great place to race. Thank you all for your dedication and camaraderie along the way.
Best regards,
Scotty B White (former) RE SCCA NWR
