KAC PTSA Clothing Bank The Kent Area Council PTA Clothing Bank provides clothing to the children of the Kent School District On open nights we request that no one arrive prior 5pm.

The Clothing Bank is a community effort providing clothing for Kent School District students in need and is organized and run by the Kent Area Council PTA. The Kent School District generously provides space at Kent Phoenix Academy and The Outreach Program (TOP) provides students who are in need of further developing life skills and job training to help sort and organize donations. The Kent Area Co

uncil PTA organizes and coordinates donations, hosts open nights for families to shop and provides volunteers from our schools to help run the Clothing Bank. The Kent Area Council PTA also acts as a liaison between the various community partners needed to run the Clothing Bank smoothly. We are open during the school year months to serve the families of the Kent School District. Our doors open for registration at 5:15pm and shopping starts 6pm. Please visit www.kacpta.org/clothingbank for our schedule of open nights. Volunteers are always welcome - individuals or groups. Please email [email protected] to let us know that you are coming! Clothing Bank donation bins are dark green and are located on the west side of the building near the KPCC/gym entrance against the building. We take CLEAN, GENTLY USED CLOTHING ONLY, all other goods should be donated to Goodwill, Value Village, Salvation Army.

Kent Area Council PTA’s clothing bank is designed to help families and students have access to clothes they can feel comfortable in when funds are tight. They open twice a month and serve approximately 70 families a night.

Each local Kent Area PTA donates $100 a year to the program to help cover the costs and Kent TOPS students help organize the supplies to make the bank a success.

What a great way to welcome families and help them get the resources they need! That is why WSPTA is proud to honor Kent Area Council PTA with an October PTA Spotlight Award!

The Clothing Bank is looking for a few volunteers to help this Wednesday 5pm-7pm at the clothing bank. Help, shoppers check in and check out, assist in putting clothes out and picking up hangers.
