Seattle Young Marines The Seattle Young Marines is the local Puget Sound Chapter of the National Young Marines Organization.

The Seattle Chapter of the Young Marines is the local installment of a National Youth Group focused on the future leaders of our great State and Nation. We are not a USMC Recruiting establishment or a scared straight program... Think Boy or Girl Scouts, with cooler uniforms and a focus on Leadership and Self-Confidence. lly Registered Adults, focused on instilling the principles of Leadership, Discipline, and Teamwork in our kids with the hopes of building a foundation for success as they make their way through school and into college. The youth are presented with opportunities to earn awards through community service, performance in school and sports activities, and outdoor skills. As they begin working their way through the program, kids are also working toward promotion through the rank system, where they'll learn to lead their peers, organize events, and eventually run their unit and take part in the exciting SPACES opportunities sponsored by the national program. Young Marines is about kids first, and teaching them that as a team... Anything is Possible.

We are super proud and also a little sad our YM LCPL Kelpe is graduating high school in a few weeks and heading into the Marine Corps. We held a retirement ceremony last Sunday to congratulate and celebrate all he has accomplished while in the Young Marines program. We will miss him very much. Please wish him all the best on his future endeavors. Semper Fi.
