Hi Walk for Babies 2023 Walkers!

We're almost a week out! We're so excited for our upcoming 2023 walk at the zoo & can't thank all of you enough for supporting us this year & coming out to participate!

Please continue to spread the word & encourage all of your friends, family & people in your networks to also come out & support a great cause on the 17th.

P.S. - all walkers that purchased Walk for Babies 2023 t-shirts please check the email you registered your team with. You will be receiving an email soon that will have instructions on t-shirt pickup if you'd like to have your t-shirts prior to the event on the 17th. If you'd like to just plan to get them on Sunday the 17th please know we'll have them ready for you at registration.

Please don't forget to get your 2023 Walk for Babies t-shirt! The last day to do so is this Friday, August 25th. The t-shirt portion of the website will shut down at 5PM on Friday for ordering.

As teams & people begin spreading the word about our Walk for Babies walk on September 17th we wanted to share that we listened to feedback from last year & the walk route is a bit different this year! It's approximately 1 mile. We're currently designing our map with the new route that will include where the kids craft station will be located, face painting, the DJ, ride tickets & most importantly the finish line! We will have the map posted on Facebook as well as the website for everyone to check out.

While this event is not NICU focused, it does support another big need at ACH - our hematology/oncology department. Plus, it’s a great, affordable night out with the family. Please consider joining. Hi All,

We’re overwhelmed by the support we’ve received this year for our Walk for Babies event this coming Sunday, September 18th. Due to the high volume in t-shirt orders we received, we’ve decided to have (2) times for teams and/or individuals to pick up t-shirts on Friday, September 16th. On Friday a table will be at our round about Kay Jewelers Pavilion location at Akron Children’s Hospital! If these times don’t work & you prefer to pick up as planned at the walk Sunday morning please still continue to do so 😊

8AM – Welcome Introductions, walk to follow, our walk is 1 & half loops around the zoo & will conclude at the zoo garden where people are encouraged to enjoy the zoo activities & animals with their team, family & friends!

We’re getting excited for September 18th! We currently have 220 signed up for our walk at the zoo! Let’s continue to spread the word & get even more signed up! I also wanted to give a few updates regarding the event. Registration begins at 7:30AM, the walk will directly follow. We'll all gather together in the front of the zoo after registration where the Kaulig Family will kick off the walk with a few words & quick welcome! Once you've completed the walk we welcome all to enjoy the Akron Zoo. The zoo opens to the public at 10AM but once you have entered for the walk that counts as your zoo entry, no other tickets needed. Wristbands will be given to everyone as your ticket for the day the day of the event. Water stations will be located in different places throughout the zoo walk!
