💫 Congrats to Jaqueline Garcia Castillo on her recent spotlight in the Seattle Mag 2025 "Trailblazing Women" series, celebrating women who transform personal challenges into progress for their communities, and to Mujer Al Volante for being awarded Organization of the Year from the Washington State Leadership Board!!

Castillo's own experience as a single mother navigating poverty and domestic violence and lacking a support system or access to transportation fueled her determination and she founded Mujer Al Volante in 2013. Mujer Al Volante has since served 1,400 women, providing crucial educational programs that boost confidence and self-sufficiency by helping women gain independence through driving and other life skills training.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our grantee partner, Project Be Free, on a powerful milestone!

HB1498 is now law—bringing trauma-informed domestic violence co-responder programs to more communities across WA. From the Capitol to the WASPC (Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs) Conference, Project Be Free is showing what community-rooted leadership looks like.

We’re honored to walk alongside these incredible leaders building systems of care and safety to our community and beyond.
