We’re installing THREE new Little Free Libraries in our neighborhood, and you’re invited to celebrate with us! Thanks to a Placemaking Microgrant from the Mid-County Regional Services Center, our community is getting even more places to share the love of reading.

We all want a neighborhood where people know each other.

Where kids play outside. Where you recognize faces. Where someone would notice if you needed help.

But most of us don’t live in that kind of place.

So we wait.

We assume it’ll happen when the neighborhood is different. Better designed. Easier to get around.

One neighbor decided not to wait.

He printed a simple flyer, put his kids in a wagon, and started knocking on doors.

Over 200 of them.

He invited people to come over for games in his yard.

It wasn’t perfect, but people showed up. And that was enough.

Over time, that small effort turned into something bigger. Neighbors started organizing things, sharing tools, showing up for each other.
