“Johnny Cash has the sweetest, calmest little soul. The moment we met him, he walked right up to my kids with the gentlest energy. He’s quiet, incredibly loving, and the type of dog that just wants to be near you. He follows us from room to room, curls up wherever we are, and gives the softest little nudges for attention.
He loves his bed and sleeps in it every night. We planned to kennel train him, but quickly realized there was no need.. he happily goes to his bed when asked and settles right in. He doesn’t beg when we’re eating, which has been such a pleasant surprise.
He lives for car rides, enjoys going on walks, and loves being included in whatever we’re doing. He’s calm around kids, patient, easy to handle, and carries himself like the sweetest little gentleman. He sits, lays down, is fully potty trained, and barely barks at all — honestly, he’s the perfect little potato.
Johnny Cash loves greeting everyone he meets and wins people over with just his presence. And even after whatever life he came from — whatever he went through before this… he still chooses to love. He still chooses people. He still chooses kindness.
He’s the kind of dog that makes you feel lucky to have met him. He fits into our home like he’s always been a part of our family, and he’s already brought so much joy, comfort, and laughter into our lives.”
Dogs, like Johnny Cash, aren’t often taken in by rescue organizations-their medical procedures can be expensive-but we couldn’t say no this face when we saw he was on “the list” at a local municipal shelter. Johnny, not only is scheduled for surgeries (cherry eye, neuter), but he’s found a fabulous, loving family to call their own.
