What a turnout—thank you!

We were thrilled to see such a full house, with Main Street and the surrounding blocks filled as friends and neighbors gathered together. Your support made the event truly special. Our only regret is that we did not get more pictures!

A sincere thank you to our speaker, Elroy Balgaard, and to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed. The KAHS crew is incredibly grateful to our friends and family who stepped in to help, from setup to cleanup and everything in between!

Voyage of the Uffda
Elroy presents his captivating short film Voyage of the Uffda, an adventurous exploration into the
mystery of how Vikings may have journeyed to Kensington, Minnesota in 1362. Joined by his
brother Charlie, Elroy retraces possible Norse routes, blending history, landscape, and bold
hypothesis into a compelling visual story that challenges what we think we know about early
exploration in North America.
The Melby Stone
Near Melby, Minnesota lies a little-known site that has sparked big questions. Elroy dives into
the intriguing discovery known as the Melby Stone and reveals the findings from last fall’s
Ground Penetrating Radar survey. What lies beneath the surface may reshape how we interpret
this mysterious location.
The Duluth Axe
A centuries-old axe discovered in Duluth, Minnesota could hold remarkable secrets. Elroy shares
new research suggesting the artifact may date back to the 14th century—potentially adding
another piece to the puzzle of Norse presence in the region. Could this tool be tangible proof of
medieval exploration?
Foss Farm Runestone
What happened to the runestone reportedly thrown down a well in the early 1900s? Elroy
provides an update on his ongoing investigation into the Foss Farm Runestone, revisiting
forgotten accounts and pursuing fresh leads in the search for a lost relic that may still be waiting
to be rediscovered.
Together, these presentations promise an engaging journey into mystery, history, and the
