The Shalom Center is a non-profit organization, which provides food, shelter, housing, and guidance to those in need. We accomplish these tasks by partnering with many faith communities, local businesses, schools, governmental agencies and others that share our mission. The Shalom center also offers guidance, creates awareness and seek solutions to the problems of low-income, and homeless families

🎉 Exciting News for Shalom Center! 🎉

We are so grateful to share that Shalom Center's food pantry has been selected by Hatch for Hunger, https://hatchforhunger.com/ a wonderful nonprofit organization from Indiana, to receive brand new coolers for our pantry, and they arrived today! 🧊

This generous donation will help us keep more fresh, healthy food cold and ready to share with families across Kenosha County. Thank you to Kelsey and the entire team at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin for connecting us with this incredible opportunity, and to Hatch for Hunger for investing in our community's fight against hunger.

Partnerships like this make a real difference in our ability to serve our neighbors with dignity and care. 💛

A huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to FCA DJ Entertainment LLC for so generously donating their time and talent to help make our National Night Out & Back-to-School Event a success! 🙌

Your music brought so much energy and joy to our community celebration, helping create an atmosphere of connection, fun, and togetherness for the families we serve. You went above and beyond, by setting up the donations for, and gathering and passing out all the backpacks donated by Wintrust Community Banks, making sure our kids headed into the new school year ready and excited. 🎒

A HUGE thank you to Wintrust Community Banks!

Because of their incredible generosity, every child at our National Night Out & Back-to-School Event went home with a brand new backpack packed with school supplies, plus a care kit full of fun and healthy treats to enjoy!

Wintrust didn't just provide supplies, they provided the confidence and excitement so many of our kids need walking into a new school year. That's what community looks like. 💛

National Night Out 2026 is almost here! We invite you to stop out on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Shalom Center. Families will receive free food, free school supplies, free information, and free fun!
The Shalom Center extends a special "thank you" to the generous sponsors of National Night Out 2026 including: Wintrust Community Banks, FCA DJ Entertainment, Snap-On Incorporated, Layna’s Luxe Events, Arizola’s Painting & Property Services, Rust-oleum Cares, A+ Mobility, and Target Circle Community Giving.
