An important update regarding the future of 262 Moms Resources Inc.
This is the only appropriate and lawful way forward. Regardless of personal opinions or assumptions, a nonprofit cannot move forward, continue its mission, or be responsibly dissolved without a functioning Board of Directors.
Due to the resignation of former board members, I cannot ethically or legally make these decisions on my own as Executive Director. State requirements mandate an active board, including a Treasurer and Secretary, to oversee governance and financial responsibility. Until a board is in place, no further organizational decisions can be made.
The purpose of this rebuild effort is to place the future of the nonprofit in the hands of a qualified board so that an informed decision can be made together about whether the mission can continue or whether dissolution is the most responsible outcome. Either path must be board led.
This is why bringing on board members is the first and necessary step. It is not optional, and it is not something that can be bypassed.
If you have board experience, financial background, or a genuine passion for the mission, I strongly encourage you to reach out and express interest in serving. This is the only way to responsibly move forward and ensure that all actions are handled transparently, ethically, and in compliance with nonprofit law.
